What is NDIS

NDIS , an abbreviation of National Disability Insurance Scheme is a new way of providing funding and supports to people with disability, this has replaced funding previously given by Disability SA. Under this system, the funding you need for support services will be allocated to you, not to a service provider. That means you have more choice and control over your support and whom you choose to provide you the support!

The Australian Government launched the NDIS in 2013 and since then it has progressively rolled out across the country.

Your existing services and supports will remain in place until the NDIS will be introduced to your area or made available to your age group. By now, we think NDIS would have touched you and you have selected the service provider of your choice.

When it is your turn to transition to NDIS, a representative from the NDIA will contact either you or your nominated supporter. You will not need to contact the NDIA.

Moreover, as Escapades Group is an NDIS Registered provider, you can reach out to help and discuss your specific needs. We are a passionate bunch of people providing support services over several years and have a great track record – Check out our Facebook Page to read what our client says.

What does permanent and significant disability mean?

You have a permanent and significant disability if your impairment is, or is likely to be permanent (i.e. it is likely to be life-long) and substantially reduces your ability to participate effectively in social or economic activities or perform tasks or actions without the help of other people or technology or equipment (other than common items such as glasses).
